Day 1Fly, drive, arrive in red rock country
Morning flight to Phoenix, pick up the SUV, and drive north as the saguaros give way to red cliffs. Check into a Sedona inn and catch the first sunset from Airport Mesa.
Moment of the day: The rocks turning fire-red at sunset
Day 2Cathedral Rock & cozy evening
Morning hike to the saddle of Cathedral Rock — short, steep, unforgettable — then an easy afternoon browsing Tlaquepaque's arts village and a fireside dinner.
Moment of the day: The view from the Cathedral Rock saddle
Day 3Pink Jeep & dark skies
Hold-onto-your-hat off-road jeep tour over the slickrock in the morning, spa-level relaxing in the afternoon, then a guided stargazing tour under some of the darkest skies in the country.
Moment of the day: Seeing the Milky Way — actually seeing it
Day 4Slow Sedona day & spa
Sleep in. Coffee on the patio, a gentle walk along Oak Creek, and a couples spa afternoon. Dinner at a restaurant with a view worth dressing up for.
Moment of the day: Side-by-side massages, zero schedule
Day 5The drive up to the Grand Canyon
Scenic drive up through Oak Creek Canyon and Flagstaff to the South Rim. Walk up to Mather Point for the first full look — no photo prepares anyone for it.
Moment of the day: The moment the canyon first opens up in front of us
Day 6A full day on the rim
Sunrise at Hopi Point, a morning walk down into the canyon on Bright Angel Trail (just a mile or two), and the rim trail at golden hour. Dinner overlooking the canyon.
Moment of the day: Sunrise over the canyon, coffee in hand
Day 7One last look, then home
Early rim walk while the light is soft, then the drive back to Phoenix for the evening flight — home before midnight with 10,000 photos.
